The lifeboat launched to a report of a person lying on the mud at Northfleet.

On arrival the casualty was displaying no signs of life, so CPR was commenced, including use of a defibrillator..

A short while later paramedics arrived on scene, re-assessed the casualty, and it was decided to cease CPR.

The lifeboat then returned to station, leaving recovery of the casualty in the hands of the police and fire brigade.

Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant

On Sunday 3rd June 2012, over one thousand boats will muster on the River Thames in preparation for Her Majesty The Queen to take part in the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant.

Dartford ADC visit the Gravesend lifeboat

Community Life Champion from Dartford ADC - Helen Martirossi, spent a bit of time getting aquanted with RNLI down on the river Thames. This visit was provoked after a piece in the local paper stated that their life vests were coming to the end of their working life and were now fundraising for new ones. Helen has nominated them to be included in the Chosen by You Given by Us for this month.
